Rain Chances Increasing Late Week

More dangerous heat ahead this week!  Heat indices will range between 102 to 110 through the remainder of the work week.   Rain chances will be increasing and that’s going to help some beat the heat.  The heat will back down late in the weekend into early next week.  We’re expecting highs in the upper 80s for a few days.

In the meantime,  Scattered showers and t-storms will move from the north to south through the evening hours. Some storms will be capable of brief heavy downpours, gusty winds, and frequent lightning strikes.  We may see some of the rain activity linger into the late night hours.  Temps will only fall into the mid to upper 70s for lows.

There’s more scorching heat ahead for Wednesday. We encourage you to stay hydrated and limit time exposed to direct sunshine.  Fortunately,  we expect isolated showers or t-showers to develop during the afternoon. The rain activity should provide a little relief from the heat for some.

The rest of the work week will reveal daily rounds of afternoon showers or t-storms.  Any of the storms will be capable of brief heavy downpours, lightning, and gusty winds.  Temps will continue to manage lower to mid 90s for highs. Heat indices will range between 100 to 105.

Our upcoming weekend is setting up for a few changes in our weather.  We will be on the backside of a frontal boundary but scattered showers and t-storms are still possible both days.  Looks like lower 90s for highs Saturday but upper 80s for Sunday.
