An Active Weather Pattern Will Lead To More Showers & T-storms

We have entered into an active weather pattern and that means daily rounds of afternoon showers and t-storms ahead.  The heat will still be something we have to deal with each day.  Heat indices will range between 100 to 109 through the remainder of the work week.   Rain chances will be increasing and that’s going to help some beat the heat.  The heat will back down late in the weekend into early next week.  We’re expecting highs in the upper 80s for a few days.

In the meantime,  Scattered showers and t-storms will move from the south to north through the evening hours. Some storms will be capable of brief heavy downpours, gusty winds, and frequent lightning strikes.  We may see some of the rain activity linger into the late night hours.  Temps will only fall into the mid to upper 70s for lows.

There’s more scorching heat ahead for Thursday and Friday. We encourage you to stay hydrated and limit time exposed to direct sunshine.  Fortunately,  we expect scattered showers or t-showers to develop during the afternoon. The rain activity should provide a little relief from the heat for some.

Our upcoming weekend is setting up for a few changes in our weather.  We will have a frontal boundary lingering over the southern part of the state. Scattered showers and t-storms are likely both days.  Looks like lower 90s for highs Saturday but mid to upper 80s for Sunday.
