Heat Advisory through Thursday, better rain chances through Friday
Wednesday looks like another very hot day, with high temperatures in the mid 90s and heat indices 105°+ during the afternoon. A heat advisory continues for southwest Alabama until 6PM Wednesday. The heat advisory continues until 9PM Thursday for central Alabama. However, rain chances look better for the rest of the week. Showers and storms become scattered about Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoon.
The heat for the start of August actually looks a little less intense than the last few days of July. Afternoon temperatures only warm into the low 90s Saturday and Sunday, due in part to the scattered coverage of rain. Rain chances remain fairly high next week, holding high temperatures to the low 90s through next Friday. In fact, some model data suggests high temperatures may only be in the 80s early next week.
