The Extreme Heat Is About To Settle Down
An active weather pattern is settling over the deep south and that means daily rounds of afternoon showers and t-storms ahead. A frontal boundary will hover over the state and be the focal point for rain activity. Rain chances will be increasing and that’s going to help us beat the heat. The heat will back down late in the weekend into early next week. We’re expecting highs in the mid to upper 80s for a few days.
We’re still going to manage lower 90s for high temps Saturday but scattered showers and storms will help combat the heat where they do occur. Our weather will take a turn and become more active with periods of clouds and rain beginning Sunday and continuing through the middle of next week. We will have a frontal boundary lingering over the southern part of the state. Scattered showers and t-storms are likely each day. High pressure to our northeast will send a northeasterly wind flow into the area and that will help lower the temps. You combine the northeast winds with rain and that’s going to keep temps in check. We’re expecting lower to mid 80s for highs Monday through Wednesday. Looks like we get to beat the heat and pick up some much needed rain for a change.
Have a great weekend!
