Montgomery man killed in crash

A Montgomery man driving an SUV has been killed in a crash in Montgomery County.

Alabama State Troopers say the wreck happened at about 9:30 this morning on Meriwether Road near Tibbee Lane, about six miles south of the Montgomery city limits.

Investigators say 23-year-old Cody Dawkins was driving the SUV, which hit a tree. They say he was not using a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
