ACTION 8 UPDATE: Victim identified in Montgomery shooting

Montgomery police have released the identity of the man killed in a shooting over the weekend.

Lt. Tina McGriff tells Action 8 news that around 12:37 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 5000 block of Carmichael Road after receiving a call that a person had been shot.

Once they arrived, they found 28-year-old Damorrea Dill-Driver, of Montgomery, with fatal injuries from a gunshot wound. Dill-Driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

This is the 43rd homicide of the year.

No word on any suspects at this time.
