Rain Chances Return For Late Week

An unusually mild August weather pattern has establish itself over us. There’s even a hint of fall in the air.  We’re on the backside of a frontal passage and the air flowing into the state is dry and milder.   This will set the stage for a few more days of comfortable conditions due to lower humidity levels. It’s rare for August, so enjoy while it last because our summer heat will return before you know it.

In the meantime, we’re expecting a mainly clear sky and mild temps overnight.  Looks like we will bottom out in the upper 50s to lower 60s for overnight lows.  Wednesday is setting up to be nice and mild with temps climbing into the mid to upper 80s. Wednesday night into early Thursday morning may be the coolest of the week.  We could see temps dropping into the mid to upper 50s for lows in spots.

The dry and milder weather conditions will be coming to an end late Thursday.  A frontal system will approach along with moisture returning to the area. This will lead to rain chances increasing going into the latter half of the week.  We will need to introduce the chance for scattered showers and t-storms Friday through the upcoming holiday weekend. Temps will start out in the mid to upper 60s and daytime highs will still manage the mid to upper 80s.
