ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police make arrest in Carmichael Road homicide

ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police have arrested a man in a fatal shooting that happened on Carmichael Road.

Police say 37-year-old Roderious Dortch has been charged with capital murder in the death of Damorrea Dill-Driver.

At around 12:37AM on Saturday, August 23, police were called to the 5000 block of Carmichael Road, which is just inside the bypass. Driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is the 43rd homicide of 2025 in Montgomery.
