Montgomery prepares for 2025 ESPN ‘Red Tails Classic’ at Cramton Bowl

The City of Montgomery is getting ready for a weekend full of activities leading up to the 2025 ESPN Red Tails Classic football game at historic Cramton Bowl.
The game is set for Sunday, August 31 at 6:00 p.m. at Cramton Bowl. This year’s matchup features the Tuskegee University and Winston-Salem State University.
The Red Tails Classic pays tribute to the legendary Tuskegee Airmen and supports the continued elevation of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) on the national stage.
Events include the Red Tails Classic Pep Rally on Saturday, August 30 at 4:00 p.m. at Riverwalk Amphitheater, located at 355 Commerce Street. The pep rally is free and open to the public and will include marching bands, cheerleaders, and special guests.

Friday, August 29:
5:00 p.m. – Lot C opens for RVs
Saturday, August 30:
2:00 p.m. – Road closure on Madison Avenue in front of Cramton Bowl
4:00 p.m. – Labor Day Grooves and Grub, a free downtown celebration in the parking lot adjacent to Embassy Suites.
Sunday, August 31:
6:00 a.m. – Hard close for all roads around Cramton Bowl
2:00 p.m. – Shuttles and parking decks open
4:00 p.m. – Cramton Bowl gates open
6:00 p.m. – Kickoff
