Below Average High Temps Continue For Now

Periods of showers and t-storms are possible over the long holiday weekend.   A frontal boundary will linger over the region and lead to periods of rain and thunder.  It won’t rain all the time but rain could have an impact on outdoor plans at times.

Saturday is looking mostly cloudy with scattered afternoon showers and t-storms.    We expect temps to top out in the mid to upper 80s for highs.  We expect fewer showers around on Sunday and Monday. A little more sunshine will help boost temps into the upper 80s for highs.

Next week starts out mainly dry but another frontal system will make a run at the state around midweek.  This system will help bring in our next round of showers and possibly thunderstorms.  We’re on the backside of the front Thursday and that’s when more dry and milder air makes it into the deep south.

Have a happy and safe Labor Day weekend!
