Threat made against Stanhope Elmore High School in Millbrook

Officials with Elmore County Schools say a threat has been made toward Stanhope Elmore High School. The specifics of the threat haven’t been released.

Here is the statement from the school system:

“This morning Stanhope Elmore High School received a threat toward the school from someone outside the system. All Millbrook and Coosada schools are currently secured and law enforcement is investigating the threat. We will provide an update when more information is available.”

From Elmore County Schools:

“Law enforcement has down-graded all Millbrook and Coosada schools to a secured perimeter status as they follow up investigating the out of system threat from earlier this morning. Updates will be provided as information is received.”

1PM UPDATE:

From Elmore County Schools:

“Law enforcement has down-graded all Millbrook and Coosada schools to a Heighten Awareness status- regular schedule with security measures heightened. Law enforcement is continuing to investigate the out of system threat from earlier this morning. Updates will be provided as information is received.”
