Police say on Tuesday, August 26, they were called to a robbery in the 2000 block of Pepperell Parkway. They say the victims told them that two masked people with guns entered their home and demanded money and cell phones before running away.
Police have arrested 21-year-old Darrion Tyshawn Hearns of Opelika and charged him with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary.
Police say evidence has linked 23-year-old Tamira Shamia Simmons of Opelika as an indirect participant in the robbery. She has also been arrested and charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary.
