Domestic violence murder suicide stuns Selma community

A fatal domestic violence incident over the Labor Day weekend — stuns people around the Selma community.

A 911 emergency call Saturday lead authorities to a house on the 300 block of Old Marion Junction Road where they found two people dead.

District Attorney Robert Turner, Jr. says the incident appears to have been a case of domestic violence.

“There won’t be criminal charges filed because of the fact that both parties on the scene were deceased. And it appears as if it were a murder suicide,” he said.

Turner says domestic violence is a serious problem — that should never be taken lightly.
