Opelika man injured in Auburn assault
An Opelika man was injured in an Auburn assault.
Auburn police received a call Wednesday regarding an assault that occurred in the area of the 700 block of East Glenn Avenue.
Meanwhile, Opelika police made contact with a 36-year-old male victim in Opelika who had an injury consistent with being assaulted with an edged weapon.
The victim told officers that the assault happened in Auburn.
Opelika police then notified Auburn PD and the victim was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
After further investigation, it was determined that this incident was not random and stemmed from a dispute between parties that were known to each other.
Detectives have confirmed that this was an isolated incident, and the assault stemmed from a disagreement between the parties involved.
