A longtime Montgomery pastor has passed away.
Rev. Thomas Earl Jordan became the pastor of Lilly Baptist Church on Hill Street in 1969.
The church was founded in 1900 and Rev. Jordan was the ninth pastor to lead the congregation.
Church officials announced Tuesday that Rev. Jordan passed away Tuesday at the age of 80.
Action 8 News sat down with Rev. Jordan in June 2024 when he celebrated his 55th year at the church.
Rev. Jordan served on the pulpit at the church for 56 years.
