Auburn University has announced that it has fired some employees over recent social media posts.

University President Christopher Roberts said the posts were “hurtful, insensitive and completed at odds with Auburn’s values of respect, integrity and responsibility in violation of our Code of Conduct.”

He said the university condemns the conduct, “which is antithetical to values we hold dear in the Auburn Creed.”

Roberts did not say how many employees were fired, nor the subject matter of their posts.
