Summer Makes Its Last Stand Over The Weekend
The countdown to the end of summer is underway but don’t expect the heat to back off anytime soon. High pressure continues to be the dominate weather feature over the area. The high helps maintain the mainly dry and warm conditions. We expect temps to top out in the lower to mid 90s through the upcoming weekend. Rain chances continue to remain low but we can’t rule out those isolated showers or t-storms during the late afternoon hours.
There are some signs that moisture may finally start to increase early next week. We will need to increase the chance for rain activity beginning Tuesday and continuing through the week. It’s probably not a drought buster but we will have to settle for anything we can get these days. As our weather pattern becomes more active, clouds and accompanying showers will have an impact on temps. We’re expecting highs back into the mid to upper 80s during the latter half of the week.
