Montgomery Biscuits win first game of Southern League Championship Series
The Montgomery Biscuits have taken the first win of the best-of-three Southern League Championship Series against the Birmingham Barons.
The Biscuits won 2-1 against the Barons Sunday evening in Birmingham.
Game two is Tuesday at 6:35PM at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery.
Brody Hopkins will make the start for Montgomery while Tanner McDougal is scheduled to start for Birmingham.
If Montgomery wins the game, they will win the Southern League Championship. If not, they’ll play a third game against the Barons.
Montgomery has won back-to-back championships, in 2006 and 2007.
