Back Into A Quiet Weather Pattern For Now

We’re on the backside of frontal boundary this weekend. High pressure will return and put us back into a quiet weather pattern. A northerly wind kicks in and our weather is looking mainly sunny and dry.  Temps will be around average with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid to upper 60s.

Looks like our mainly sunny and dry weather pattern will continue through at least Tuesday of next week.  Temps will continue to manage the upper 80s for highs.  We could even see a few spots snag the 90 degree mark.  If we see any rain activity, it would be very isolated.

There’s quite a bit of uncertainty for the Wednesday through Friday time period next week. One of the  tropical systems to our east could possibly have an impact on our weather.  Hurricane Humberto will stay far to the east out over the Atlantic but the other disturbance could be a landfalling system early in the week.  It will likely be called Tropical Storm Imelda. Model data suggest the tropical system will come ashore somewhere along the SC/NC coastline.  There’s some indications its circulation drifts westward and increases our chances for rain.  It’s still early and we will just monitor the systems development over the weekend.  Stay tuned.
