Action 8’s Tickled Pink benefits the Cancer Wellness Foundation

The 11th Annual Tickled Pink Out Party is Saturday in Montgomery, and once again, it will benefit the Cancer Wellness Foundation, with an emphasis on breast cancer.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is why Action 8 puts on this huge event each year. All proceeds from ticket and T-shirt sales benefit the Cancer Wellness Foundation, which serves people in 32 counties in our area.

Executive Director Carol Gunter told Action 8’s Ellis Eskew that it provides services ranging from assisting with medication to transportation to nutrition — filling the gap for cancer patients who need help. Gunter says that some patients in rural areas live 2 1/2 hours away from the places they need to go for treatment.

The proceeds from Tickled Pink will allow the Cancer Wellness Foundation to further its mission, helping more people with more programs.

That’s why Action 8’s Tickled Pink is so important.

Come out to Riverwalk Stadium on Saturday, October 4, from 9AM-2PM. You’ll get to visit with more than 70 vendors. Some offer health and wellness advice, while others are retailers. There are activities for children, football games on TVs, food vendors and entertainment. There are even cash and prize giveaways!

We hope to see you there!
