Phenix City man arrested for enticing a child for immoral purposes

A Phenix City man was arrested in Lee County for enticing a child for immoral purposes.
Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were called around 9:13 p.m. on September 13 to Lee Road 210.
The witness, who is a family friend of the victims, stated that two children came to their home stating that they were uncomfortable being alone because of a neighbor who had entered their house while they were there and attempted to entice the children into sexual activity.
Deputies were able to identify the suspect at 60-year-old Joe Dan Moore.
Moore was taken into custody at his work on September 26.
He is charged with two counts of Enticing a Child to Enter a Vehicle, House, etc. for Immoral Purposes, which is a Class C felony.
Moore has since been released on bond.
