Montgomery students get free fair tickets for perfect attendance

Students with Montgomery Public Schools got a special surprise Friday just in time for the opening of the Alabama National Fair.

Montgomery County District Attorney Azzie Oliver delivered free tickets to more than 400 students at 26 elementary schools.

Action 8 News stopped by Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School where students with perfect attendance received their reward.

Oliver, who is the MPS Student Attendance Ambassador, partnered with the Kiwanis Club and the Alabama National Fair to provide the tickets.

MPS leaders say rewards like this will have a long term impact on the students’ success.
