City of Montgomery planning Veterans Day celebration

2025 Qr Veterans Day Events

The City of Montgomery is making plans for a Veterans Day Celebration that will featuring Maj. Gen. (Retired) Clyde A. “Lou” Hennies.

The celebration will be Tuesday, November 11. As a proud Veterans Day Regional Site designated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Montgomery continues its tradition of commemorating service and sacrifice with a day of meaningful events and community engagement, city leaders say.

This year’s theme, “Montgomery Salutes: 50 Years Later, Never Forgotten — Honoring Our Vietnam Veterans,” marks the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. In tribute, the city will recognize Vietnam veterans throughout the day’s activities.
