Two men arrested on drug trafficking charges in Tallapoosa County
Two men face drug trafficking and other charges after being arrested in Tallapoosa County.
The Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force says 33-year-old Taylor Turner of Dadeville faces charges of: Trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking fentanyl, trafficking amphetamine, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana 1st degree, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, certain persons forbidden to possess a gun.
The task force says 38-year-old Richard Peppers of Notasulga faces charges of: Trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking amphetamines, two counts of unlawful possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, certain persons forbidden to possess a gun.
Task force investigators say yesterday, they and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency SWAT Team executed a search warrant at a location on Overlook Drive in Dadeville. Agents say they recovered approximately 150 grams of methamphetamine, 2 grams of fentanyl, 131 Adderall pills (60 grams), 28 Xanax pills, 14 grams of marijuana, 1 gram of marijuana dab, 18 ounces of
“Lean” (mixture of Codeine/Promethazine), 100 ounces of GHB. one 9mm MKIII automatic Sten gun, one Sig Sauer .40 cal pistol, one Llama .45 cal pistol along with several items of tactical gear and drug paraphernalia.
Agents say these arrests took approximately $7,000 worth of narcotics off the streets of Tallapoosa County.
