Woman charged in Montgomery shooting

Montgomery police have charged a woman in a shooting.

Montgomery police Lt. Tina McGriff told Action 8 News that 32-year-old Olivia Welch has been charged with assault in the first degree.

The shooting happened in the 400 block of Polk Street on Saturday, October 4. Details about what happened haven’t been released.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Welch also face a charge of burglary in the third degree.

Her total bond for the two charges is $32,500.
