Fire destroys old Chantilly Inn in Pike Road
A former wedding venue turned private residence was destroyed by fire over the weekend.
Pike Road firefighters were called around 1:07 a.m. Saturday to a home in the 9200 block of Vaughn Road.
The house was once home to the old Chantilly Inn.
Firefighters arrived quickly and found the home fully involved.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the blaze.
Waugh-Mt. Meigs Fire, Rolling Hills Fire and Fitzpatrick Fire also assisted with fighting the fire.
Fire officials say since the fire was large, the State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
