Finally Some Rain Heading Our Way!
We continue to feel spring-like warmth as temps continue to climb above the average highs for this time of the year. A few spots could even snag the 90 degree mark before the week is out. There are no signs of rain through the work week but that will change over the upcoming weekend.
In the meantime, high pressure over the deep south with carve out more sunny and dry conditions. Temps will start out in the mid to upper 50s and warm into the mid to upper 80s for afternoon highs. We see this weather pattern sticking around through Friday.
The first real chance for rain activity areawide will arrive over the upcoming weekend. A frontal boundary will make a run at the state late Saturday. We expect a round of showers and t-storms to develop along and ahead of the frontal system Sunday. Rainfall potential will range between .50 to 1 inch. Right now, we don’t see anything too strong or severe but that could change as we get closer to the weekend.
We see another opportunity for rain activity setting up for the middle of next week. Looks like a boundary will move quickly through the state Wednesday. A round of showers and possibly a few t-storms are possible.
