COVER Expo provides resources to Montgomery families
Dozens of people went to the COVER Expo in the Chisholm neighborhood of Montgomery to find out about community resources and meet a young man who turned his life around.
The Community Over Violence Expo & Resources event took place at the Chisholm Community Center, next to the Montgomery Zoo. It’s part of an initiative by Montgomery City Council members Marche Johnson and Julie Beard to help young men and their families.
The special guest for the event was Holy Gabbanna, who is well known and respected by the younger generation and gained fame by giving his life to Christ after living a criminal lifestyle.
In addition, people could also learn about health screenings, neighborhood associations and school resource information.
