Some Needed Rainfall Ahead For The Weekend

Drought conditions continue across the area and parts of West Alabama remain under extreme drought.  We need rain and there’s a good chance we see some decent rainfall over part of the upcoming weekend.

In the meantime,  A mostly clear sky and calm wind will lead to temps dropping overnight.  Temps will drop into the mid to upper 40s overnight. It will be a chilly start to Friday but temps will recover nicely and we’re expecting lower 80s during the afternoon hours.

We see another frontal system making a run at the state late in the upcoming weekend.  This boundary should bring us our next opportunity for rain activity.   It will be the beginning of a slightly more active weather pattern that we ease into next week.

The long range outlook for Halloween Friday is looking mainly clear and cool.   We should be on the backside of any rain activity.  Another surge of cooler air will be flowing into the state setting the stage for cooler temperatures Halloween evening.
