Sunshine Friday, clouds increase Saturday, showers likely Sunday

Friday afternoon looks mainly sunny with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Friday night looks mostly clear and cool, with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s. Clouds increase Saturday, but our area remains dry. High temperatures range from the upper 70s to low 80s. Saturday night looks mostly clouds with lows in the upper 50s.

Rain now looks likely Sunday, with showers and perhaps some storms become widespread, working west to east across our area during the late morning through afternoon. Many locations may receive one inch of beneficial rain or more through Sunday night. That may be enough to leave a small dent in the ongoing drought across central and south Alabama. A few showers may linger into next week, mainly Monday through Wednesday.

The end of next week still looks cooler and drier. Thursday and Friday look mostly sunny with high temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s, and lows in the 40s. Clouds may increase a bit next weekend, but Saturday and Sunday look dry at this time. High temperatures remain in the upper 60s to low 70s, with overnight lows in the 40s.
