Selma Police are investigating the city’s 10th murder of the year following a shooting over the weekend at an apartment complex.
Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford says officers responded to a shots fired call Saturday night — on the 100 block of Beech Creek Lane.
“On October 25th around 11:50 PM — upon arrival officers made contact with Pollard Moultrie who had been suffering from a gunshot wound. He was then transported to the Vaughan E-R and later airlifted to UAB where he succumbed to his injuries,” Fulford said.
Fulford says detectives are interviewing potential witnesses in the case — and pursuing every lead.
