Froggy Bottom Materials buys nursery in Shorter to expand operations

Froggy Bottom Materials has announced an expansion to allow it to better stock its garden center.

The company has bought Moore and Davis Nursery in Shorter, which will now be called Froggy Bottom Growers.

Company officials say the nursery will allow them to supply their garden center at Froggy Bottom in Pike Road and continue wholesale sales in Shorter.

“We’re really proud of this location here. Moore and Davis Nursery has been here in business since the early 1980s,” Froggy Bottom President Chris Lashlee told Action 8 News. “Mr. Bob Moore, who was the original founder, put a lot of thought and planning into the infrastructure here, and it’s really conveniently located to our headquarters, our main office in Pike Road, just 10 minutes away. It’s going to allow us to continue to grow quality nursery stock for existing customers here, wholesale customers, other nurseries and garden centers in the Southeast.”

Wholesale customers can make purchases at either location, while retail customers will continue to use the Pike Road location.
