Opelika man charged in Auburn car burglaries, second suspect on the loose

An arrest has been made following a series of car burglaries on Saturday, October 25th.
Auburn Police say 22-year-old Roosevelt Lee Pace of Opelika was arrested and charged with unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property.
Police say the arrest follows a report of car burglaries in progress near the 100 block of Wright Street on Saturday. When officers arrived to the area, they found two suspects fleeing on foot. One of the suspects was caught and identified as Pace. The second suspect escaped.
Officers were able to confirm the suspects entered into multiple vehicles and stole property.
Pace was taken to the Lee County Jail on a $4,000 bond.
Police are still actively investigating the burglaries and are looking for the second suspect.
