Selma Police detectives investigate city’s 11th murder of the year

A Selma man is dead after a shooting Tuesday night near a Selma public housing complex.
Chief Kenta Fulford says officers responded to reports of a gunshot victim near GWC Homes at around 8 at night.
When officers arrived they found a man with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
Fulford says the man was identified as 31 year old Sharod Reid of Selma. And despite lifesaving efforts — Reid died on the scene.
It’s the 11th murder in the city this year.
