Mayor Johnny Moss III — and members of the city council took the oath of office this afternoon at the Selma Convention Center.
A standing room only crowd attended the event.

“To the citizens of Selma, thank you for your faith in me and your belief that better days are ahead for our beloved city,” said Moss.
“Even if your vote was cast for someone else, I believe God still calls us to walk this road together because the mission to rebuild Selma belongs to all of us.”
The Selma City School Board will be sworn in Tuesday at 5:00 PM at the Selma High School Media Center.
