ACTION 8 UPDATE: Arrest made in Eastern Boulevard shooting that left two people injured

ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police have made an arrest in a shooting on Eastern Boulevard that left a woman and a juvenile female injured.

Police have charged 20-year-old Torian Mitchell with two counts of assault in the first degree.

Montgomery police Lt. Tina McGriff told Action 8 News that the shooting happened at around 3:15PM yesterday in the 2200 block of Eastern Boulevard. That location is near The Home Depot and Arbor Station Road.

Once officers arrived, they found a woman with life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. Officers also located a juvenile female with non-life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment.

McGriff said the preliminary investigation determined that the incident is domestic violence-related.
