Police announce death of pedestrian who was hit, killed in Montgomery in September

Montgomery police have announced the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in September and died later that month.

Police say at about 10:20AM on Monday, September 8, 57-year-old Jonathan Young of Montgomery was hit by a vehicle in the area of Eastern Boulevard at Carmichael Road. He died at a hospital on September 25.

Police say the information was delayed while they awaited a forensic analysis.

They say they driver remained at the scene until officers arrived. There were no other injuries reported.
