Sunny, warm Thursday; Some storms Friday, a few may be strong
Thursday afternoon looks sunny, dry, and warm with high temperatures near 80°. Thursday night looks milder with lows in the low to mid 50s. Clouds may increase from the southwest late. Our weather pattern looks more active Friday through this weekend. Friday looks partly to mostly cloudy, with scattered showers and some storms during the afternoon. High temperatures range from the upper 70s to low 80s.
A few storms may become strong to severe Friday afternoon into the evening, capable of strong wind and hail. The storm prediction center places a marginal (level 1/5) severe risk across Alabama Friday. Rain and storms wind down Friday night through Saturday morning. Clouds linger, keeping temperatures fairly warm Friday night. Sunshine increase Saturday, warming temperatures into the low 80s.
Another round of rain and some storms arrives late Saturday night into Sunday morning. A few of these storms may be on the strong side as well. A strong cold front pushes through our area Sunday. Sunday night lows fall into the 30s. Temperatures only warm into the 50s Monday despite abundant sunshine. Monday night looks like our first freeze of the fall/winter season, with lows below 32°. Temperatures trend warmer with abundant sunshine for the rest of next week.
