Volunteers and donations needed for Montgomery Warming Center
As the City of Montgomery prepares for the first cold blast of air this season, it and the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) are issuing an urgent call for donations and volunteers.
It is possible that the Montgomery Warming Center may open, depending on the temperatures. It is located at The Crump Center, 1751 Congressman Dickinson Drive.

You can also reach out to her if you’d like to volunteer at the warming center.
Volunteer Roles Include:
- Greeting and checking in guests
- Distributing supplies
- Monitoring the space and ensuring safety
Volunteer Requirements:
- A background check may be required (depending on the role)
- Willingness to follow safety protocols
- A kind heart and a commitment to serving others
- The first volunteer opportunity may occur as early as Sunday, November 9
