Montgomery man dies in crash involving train
Montgomery police are investigating a train versus vehicle crash that claimed the life of a man.
It happened around 11:43 a.m. Monday in the area of Davenport Parkway and Bowman Street.
Once officers arrived, they found the driver of the vehicle, 57-year-old Steve Smith, of Montgomery, with fatal injuries. Smith was pronounced dead on the scene.
There were no other injuries reported.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
