Action 8’s Magical Christmas Toy Drive gets underway to benefit the Salvation Army

For a dozen years, Action 8 has presented our Magical Christmas Toy Drive to benefit the Salvation Army of Montgomery. We are counting on your support again this year.

From now through December 10, we are collecting new, unwrapped toys that will be distributed to registered families right here in our area.

Action 8 Chief Meteorologist Shane Butler spoke with Capt. Thomas Johnson of the Salvation Army to find out more about why your help is needed.

“This is an uncertain time for all of us, and we know that our neighbors need this,” Johnson said. “Because of the change that our community brings by stepping up to shop, and to take part in this toy drive, we get to serve nearly 1,000 kids at Christmas this year.”

Once again this year, our Toy Vault is at the Shoppes at EastChase, to the left of Books-a-Million. In the weeks to come, that space will be filled with toys, thanks to our viewers and our sponsors.

All of us at Action 8 thank you for the help. Merry Christmas!
