The Spring-Like Warmth Just Keeps On Coming

It looks like fall will be on hold this week as temps climb to spring-like levels.  We’re expecting upper 70s to lower 80s and that could mean record warmth for some areas.  Our next chance for rain will move into the area Friday into Saturday.  It doesn’t look like any significant rainfall and there’s no severe storm threat at this point.

In the meantime,  a mainly clear sky with temps cooling into the lower to mid 40s overnight.  That will lead to a chilly start to Tuesday but ample sunshine will allow temps to recover in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees by the afternoon.

A weak disturbance will brush our area Wednesday.  We expect a few more clouds overhead but that’s about it.  Temps will continue to climb and we could see lower 80s for highs Wednesday afternoon.  Overnight temps will be coming up and we’re only falling into the mid 50s midweek.  The warming will continue right along and we’re back in the lower 80s Thursday.  A frontal system will work its way into the region Friday.  The front will help trigger our next round of rain.  There could even be a rumble or two but we don’t see anything going severe.  Rainfall amounts are looking rather lite and under a quarter of an inch.  Some rain activity will linger into early Saturday but we’re back into sunshine that afternoon.  Sunday is looking dry and slightly cooler with highs back in the lower 70s.

Thanksgiving week will start out dry but it looks like a disturbance will move through the area Tuesday into Wednesday.  We could see some rain activity with this system.  Early indications are we’re on the backside of the system just in time for Thanksgiving Day.  Right now, I could see skies partly cloudy and temps in the upper 60s to lower 70s for highs.
