Warm, dry Monday; Rain/Storms Tuesday; Dry, Cool Thanksgiving
Sunday was a pleasant Fall day across central and south Alabama. The sky became mostly sunny, sending temperatures into the 70s during the afternoon. Sunday night looks partly cloudy and cooler, with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s. Monday looks partly cloudy, dry, and warm with highs in the upper 70s. Monday night remains mild, with lows near 60°.
Rain and some storms return Tuesday. In fact, we may get multiple rounds of rain and storms during the day into Tuesday night. Additionally, a few storms may become strong to severe. The storm prediction center places a marginal (level 1/5) severe risk across all of Alabama. However, the tornado risk looks very low. Most of us receive beneficial rain with some thunder.
Our area dries out Wednesday with lingering clouds as a cold front pushes through our area. Temperatures fall into the 40s Wednesday night. Thanksgiving remains cooler despite a mostly sunny sky. High temperatures range from the low to mid 60s. Thursday night lows fall into the 30s, so Black Friday morning looks cold, but dry. Our area remains dry with some sunshine through Saturday of the holiday weekend. Rain returns as December begins.
