Showers & T-storms Likely Tuesday

Our unseasonably warm weather pattern is about to come to an end.  A frontal system is heading our way with rain and storms ahead and along it. Once the front passes, we’re trending much cooler.

Showers and t-storms will move into West Alabama early Tuesday morning and work their way eastward through the day.  Some of the storms could be strong to possibly severe.  The main threats will be damaging wind gust up to 60 mph, hail one inch in diameter, and possibly a few brief tornadoes.   There will be periods of showers and t-storms through the day but the last of the storm activity exits our area around midnight.

We return to a sunny and dry weather pattern Wednesday.  Temps will start out in the mid to upper 50s and still manage upper 60s for highs.  Colder air will spill into the state Wednesday night and we’re expecting temps in the mid 30s early Thursday morning.

Thanksgiving Day is looking sunny and cool.  Temps will top out in the mid to upper 50s for highs.  A clear sky and light wind will allow temps to drop into the  lower 30s during the overnight hours.   It will be a cold start to Friday with temps in the lower 30s.  The rest of the day will be sunny and cool with mid 50s for afternoon highs.

The upcoming weekend will be split with sunshine Saturday and rain Sunday. Temps will manage the upper 50s and lower 60s for highs and overnight lows in the 40s.   There’s more rain activity ahead for the early half of next week as well.   Temps will be a bit milder with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

IRON BOWL weather on the plains of Auburn will be partly cloudy and cool with temps around kickoff in the upper 40s.  I expect temps to hover in the 40s throughout the game.
