Montgomery police investigating homicide after man’s body found

Montgomery police have launched a homicide investigation following the discovery of a man’s body.

Montgomery police Lt. Tina McGriff told Action 8 News that officers were called to the 2900 block of Steeplechase Lane to perform a welfare check. That location is near the intersection of Eastern Boulevard and Vaughn Road.

McGriff said officers found a man with fatal injuries from a gunshot wound. His name hasn’t yet been released. She told Action 8 News that the death is being considered a homicide.
