The Warmth Returns Late Week

Sunshine is back and we’re expecting several days of it this week!  There will be a quick shot of colder air Thursday but the warmth returns by Friday afternoon. A few spots could snag the 70 degree mark Friday or Saturday.

In the meantime, our sky will clear out and temps drop into the lower to mid 30s overnight. We’re on the backside of a frontal boundary Thursday. A brief shot of cold air spills into the state and our temps only manage mid 50s for highs Thursday afternoon.  Friday starts out chilly in the mid 30s but with abundant sunshine temps will recover nicely into the mid 60s Friday afternoon.

Another frontal system will be making a run at the deep south over the upcoming weekend.  Temps should warm into the mid 60s ahead of the boundary Saturday.  We don’t expect a lot of moisture to move in with the front but we will include a chance for rain both days.  We’re on the backside of the front Sunday afternoon.  Another shot of cold air moves in and we’re in the mid 20s Monday morning.  High pressure returns and sets the stage for sunny and dry conditions early next week.  Temps will manage the mid 50s for highs and lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s.
