1 dead, 2 injured in Butler County crash
A two-vehicle crash in Butler County has claimed the life of a Florida man.
It happened around 4:20 p.m. Monday on Alabama 10 near the 110 mile marker, approximately eight miles west of Greenville.
Troopers say 21-year-old Joseph Alexander Halford, of Davie, FL, was fatally injured when the vehicle he was a passenger in, collided head-on with another vehicle.
Halford was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment.
Troopers say the driver of the first vehicle, a 16-year-old juvenile, was also injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
