Faulkner University’s Jones School of Law celebrates achievements

Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law reports record enrollment and gains in student diversity.

According to statistics from the American Bar Association, the law school’s first-year class has grown to 167 students, nearly a 50% increase over last year. Faulkner says it’s the third-largest percentage increase among law schools nationwide and the largest in Alabama.

Overall enrollment is 411 students, a 20% increase from the previous year. The law school ranks sixth nationally for percentage growth in total enrollment and first in Alabama among ABA-approved schools, Faulkner says.

Black or African American student enrollment has increased to 18%.

“These enrollment outcomes reflect the strength of our academic programs, our commitment to access and opportunity, and the growing national recognition of the value of a Faulkner Law education,” Charles Campbell, Dean of the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, said in a statement. “We are proud to see this momentum reflected not only in growth, but in a student body that increasingly reflects the communities our graduates will serve.”
