Clouds linger Sunday night; Mainly dry, warm weather this week
More cloud-cover than sunshine filled the sky Sunday across central and south Alabama. Isolated showers formed during the day as a cold front moved through our area. It was a weak cold front, with no significant drop in temperatures once it moved through. It was located mainly south of our area by late Sunday evening, but a mainly cloudy sky lingers Sunday night. Temperatures remain in the 50s overnight.
Monday begins most cloudy, but sunshine increases during the afternoon. High temperatures range from the mid to upper 60s. Tuesday through Christmas Day look even warmer, with highs in the low to mid 70s. Each day looks partly to mostly cloudy and dry. Some rain appears possible next weekend, mainly Sunday, when models show another cold front moving through the southeast. That could set up drier and cooler weather early next week.
