Warmer Friday night, showers/storms Saturday, sunshine Sunday
After a sunny start to the new year, Friday was mainly cloudy with rain during the afternoon and evening. However, it was still fairly warm for a January day, with high temperatures in the 60s. Temperatures may not fall below 60° in some locations overnight. Otherwise, the sky remains mainly cloudy with a few more showers in the mix.
Showers and even some storms remain possible Saturday, as a cold front slides south into our area. The chance for rain/thunder looks best across the far south part of the state, especially by the afternoon. Otherwise, the sky remains mostly cloudy, with temperatures warming into the 60s and even low 70s during the afternoon. Rain comes to an end late Saturday, with a clearing sky Saturday night as the cold front pushes to our south. Temperatures fall into the 40s.
Sunday looks cooler, but mild for a January day, with highs in the 60s.
